so like i mentioned, although i've been here for over 25 years, i want to experience one last time that which is uniquely L.A. here's a list that i've put together. i need your help, people. what is a must-see before i leave?
NEVER BEEN...
hollywood sign
venice beach
buy a star map and drive around like paparazzi
tv taping
(i know, the above list is sad and embarrassing. it's like admitting that i've never seen a rocky or star wars until it was rereleased in the 90s.)
WANT TO SEE/DO AGAIN...
griffith observatory (esp. the remodel)
sunset strip/melrose
white water rafting (you can't do whitewater in new england, can you?)
sequoia nat'l park
hiking in malibu
DINE IN...
koreatown
monterey park
redondo beach pier
in-n-out (as many burgers as possible. in college i was the in-n-out ambassador to a friend in boston. who wants to be my in-n-out ambassador? if you ask them they will package each burger ingredient separately so that it can be preserved in an ice chest during travel.)

Actually, there's some good white-water rafting in Vermont/New Hampshire.
