This morning, to my amusement, I rolled out of bed and found DJ in the kitchen frying eggs, singing this along with the TV:
"With their super powers, they unite (TEEN TITANS!)
Never met a villain that they liked (TEEN TITANS!)
They got the bad guys on the run
They never stop until the job gets done
'Cause when the world is losing all control
TEEN TITANS, GO!
TEEN TITANS, GO!"
Anyways, it's been a while since I've given a life-in-Boston update, so here goes.
DJ is loving his residency program, although the more he learns, the more he realizes what he doesn't know. His schedule keeps him at the hospital for long hours, but thankfully his job is exciting and he has great rapport with the attendings, chiefs, and colleagues.
We have found a church! Citylife is a multi-ethnic (50% asian, 50% caucasian) church plant of Redeemer in NYC. The pastor is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell, teaching is interesting, relevant, challenging, and biblically-based. The church places great emphasis on being a real impact for Christ here in the city of Boston, and encourages fellowship and ministry through community groups. I'll be attending one of the community groups regularly, and am excited about making new friends and getting more involved with the church.
My job search has been slow, peppered with discouragement, boredom and a few false starts. But after taking a break last week, I feel revived and will continue looking. What am I looking for? A position within a foundation or corporation that allows me to evaluate and give $ to non-profits, or a Marketing or PR position focusing on the Asian American market. But really, at this point anything interesting that pays decently is fine by me!
On a scale of 1-10, I would give Boston a 7. It's so beautiful, historic, clean, and easy to get around (as long as you're not in a car). Sometimes I'll walk around just because. Yes, W-A-L-K. That is such a foreign concept for us Californians. I need to get a pedicure to get rid of my new foot callouses!

In my defense, I was not singing the entire theme song to the show... just the part where they say "Teen Titans"
That is so lame. It's just as lame as when he wouldn't speak to me in our apartment unless I instant messaged him.
I love Teen Titans! Although I would never sing along to it. That just sounds... too amusing. I wouldn't want my wife to post something like that and have everyone question my manhood.
pauline - it's so neat to hear about your life! blessings to you and dj!!!!
