Can someone tell me - is nose picking acceptable behavior in parts of East Asia? Because on the T ride home this evening, there was this guy who really dug in like he was scooping ice cream, and then inspected the result of his efforts. After observing this quite a few times, I wanted to pull a "My Sassy Girl" (watch the movie if you haven't!!) moment and tell him to cut it out. On one hand I didn't want to be associated with him but on the other hand he's my people and impressions are forming about us as a collective group.

And then I thought about where those fingers have been - T tokens, seats, turnstiles, railings, and I just wanted to run home and take a shower.
