I am up way too late. I blame it on Bravo, who is showing the West Wing season 6 marathon every night this week. I just can't stop watching. Matthew Santos for President!!

Luckily, tomorrow won't be too much of a drag because this job is GREAT. Lots of autonomy and opportunities to implement some of my crazy ideas. Combine that with a big event coming up and a big cup 'o joe and there's not a moment's rest.

The one draw back is - I have to go outdoors in order to get to the train in order to get to work. I didn't want to start complaining about the weather given that it's only the middle of October and I have another 3.5 months before peak winter season. But...

I don't care what the natives here say, it's freakin' cold outside already. I haven't seen the sun for about a week, and it's not scheduled to reappear until Sunday, when my community group is going leaf peeping/apple picking. Standing outside feels like I'm sitting on a lift chair at Mammoth, without a run to look forward to. We have a friend who contemplated wearing their snowboarding goggles and pants during a particularly bad blizzard last year. I'm keeping that in mind...

Cold is relative. Growing up I used to think anything below "0" was cold. Now, anything below 55 is brrrrrrr.

I'm in Michigan. I've been here for 1.5 weeks and I have 1.5 more. I hate the cold too. Hopefully it's nicer in Chicago this weekend.

yes, sweetie. unfortunately, this is nuttin'. although, i must say that i've been pretty cold myself lately. i'll send you the picture of timo and theresa last year during the blizzard. pretty funny stuff. BUT, it's also kinda cool to be able to walk for a cup of coffee on a morning after the blizzard to sit with a girlfriend in a cozy cafe. let's do that this winter. :)

What do you mean "contemplated"? I DID wear them!! :) I have one word for you, dear friend, and that word is "LAYERS". I don't care if you think your long black coat looks like a sleeping bag, you're going to be glad you have it in a month or so. :) Love ya!
