When I encounter a complex or multi-layered problem, I often get frustrated and give up thinking about it because I don't know where to begin and how to deal. The issues raised in "The Constant Gardner" lead to one of those situations. I am lost in feelings of anger, sadness, disappointment, compassion, pity, guilt that the movie stirs up. What was great was having our friend SK there to add a dose of reality as she is preparing to go to Africa as part of a project supported in part by a pharmaceutical company. My friend KR has a good breakdown of it here.

On a humorous note, it wasn't until our debrief after the movie that DJ realized gardening wasn't actually the Ralph Fiennes character's profession as the movie title suggests. You'll see what I mean when you see the film which, along with Crash, is a must-see.
