I've spent $2700 over the past 7 months trying to save my dear little green Honda Accord. I finally pick it up from Hondar House today (it's how Bostonians pronounce "honda") and on the freeway heading home, that light that indicates whether you're in reverse or drive starts flashing, followed 2 minutes later the "check engine" light, followed 2 minutes later by my speedometer falling to zero.

Note that I'm at 2500 rpms but at 0 mph.
I just need this car to last 2.5 more months until I move to a more T-accessible neighborhood and can finally send it back to the Honda Rescue Farm, a.k.a my parents' house, where it can join the other old, unwanted Hondas and Acuras (like my mom's 1984 Honda Accord) and live a happy life and die.

NOOOOOOOO!!!! Mom and dad are so close to getting a new car!! Don't rob them of the wonderful hope and anticipation of the new car smell, mileage at 0 and taking that baby for a spin for the first time by giving them an excuse NOT to buy a new car!!!!!! ooooo.... maybe we can transport your little green Honda up here to San Francisco.
your sister's comment is so funny. :)
gosh, is it safe to drive short distances though? did you ask if frank would ever consider buying your car? he did for ours. i don't know. just a thought.
