I've had a crappy day. Between PMS-ing, having to drive all the way down to Cape Cod for work, bleaching a spot on my favorite burgundy shirt, and encountering a rat the size of my foot on my way back from 2 failed attempts at doing laundry, I am not fun to be around right now.
On a brighter note, during Memorial Day weekend DJ and I actually did something fun outdoors.
Earthfest 2006, where people waited in 50-person lines just to get a free serving of organic salad.

rats! eww! our "free drying" laundry in somerville doesn't have rats. if you close your eyes, the rats disappear.
Uh, rats are cool as pets but not as PESTS! Was this in your building?!? :( So sorry.. report the incident to your building manager.. I don't know if that will help, but.. yuk! And, why unsuccessful attempts at laundry? Machines broken? We feel your pain - this is why we have gone through 3 laundromats in 2 years, and now walk about 1/2 a mile to do our laundry. At least you have a car!
you can bring your laundry to our apt, like SK sometimes does. hope you're feeling better...
we were around boston commons on monday too, looking for a korean war memorial which was in charlestown apparently.

thank goodness, no rats in our building. or at least i don't think so. the laundromat on the other side of beacon was doing some renovation and when i walked by some rubble, at furry friend scurried away. yuck.
