Last night DJ and I threw a dessert party because we wanted to celebrate the graduates in our Community Group and because we can, now that we're in Brookline.

Somehow he came up with this crazy idea of having a chocolate fountain and spent all week researching reviews and best prices. I, being all about simplifying and living within our means, completely disgreed. After many heated discussions I broke down and almost had to beg him to have the fountain overnighted from Amazon.com. It was a huge hit and now I must eat my words.

We had such a nice spread but of course I forgot to bust out my camera until it was too late. So, here are highlights from the cleanup phase as well as our new place:

DJ and Ethan sharing a moment

Ethan likes to make chocolate and drink it too.

Our CA friend Simon, who along with his other half Ivy, often provide us with comic relief. And a helping hand whenever we need it.

I cannot take credit for the dried twigs and vase, but they look good, no?

Ivy (along with Shan and I) sat on the couch and watched Sex and the City while the boys cleaned up.
Ah, what a nice life.

Love the apartment. Classy, yet unpretentious (I have the same Ikea lamp).
