I'm feeling a little blah today because I'm married to a resident who is never around; when you're 3000+ miles from home, there are a limited number of things you can do for people you would give your life for; and because on this perfect L.A.-in-New-England day, I'm stuck at home studying for the GMAT on my poor laptop which is about to catch on fire because the geniuses at Dell built the fan vent on the bottom of the computer.

But, comfort is knowing that I can whisper short prayers to God anytime, anywhere; having a husband who is willing to make up for time lost; friends who keep track of days when I am alone and lure me out of this bunker of an apartment; and massages.

Praise the Lord for inventing massage therapy and for friends who generously share their employee discounts. A while ago I bought a series of six hour-long swedish massages at le pli, a very civilized spa in Cambridge. I cannot tell you how good it makes me feel to know that I have three massages scheduled in the next couple of months. Now that the important appointments have been made, I should think about finding a dentist...

Having appointments for massages is almost as good as the actual massage itself. It's therapy in anticipation. =)
