So I've been terribly remiss in updating this blog. For some reason the early part of the year is always difficult for me. The Christmas season has passed, all the long weekends are over, and it's time to recalibrate my inner self.

It's also time fo fix all of the broken photo links so you can see how much puppy cuteness is going on in our apartment.

As part of the recalibration (thanks to my dear Maria for the vocab word) and to keep me from wishing evil thoughts on Dan Grabauskas, GM of the Boston subway system, I am going to start reading again during my commute to/from work.

On my Boston Public Libraries hold list: (thanks to the new mommy for sharing her recommendations)

The substance of style : how the rise of aesthetic value is remaking commerce, culture, and consciousness by Virginia Postrel

March by Geraldine Brooks

The other Boleyn girl by Philippa Gregory

The thirteenth tale by Diane Setterfield

Traveling mercies : some thoughts on faith by Anne Lamott

After that, I'm tackling the Pulitzer Prize List.
