This weekend I took a brief trip home to celebrate the wedding of an old friend. The weekend would have been great except that it was toooo short, like always. It also didn't help that it took me in total, twelve hours to get from Logan to LAX because of major weather delays at O'Hare and because of United's incompetence. But I should be grateful for not having an American ticket AND for my always-generous father, who booked my tickets and bought me Economy Plus seats (aka five extra inches of leg room on any UAL flight) for one year! This will come in handy during our Memorial weekend trip for [yet another] wedding.

My newly married friends Scott and Judy got married at THE most beautiful spot. DJ and I considered getting married here but didn't want to deal with the creepy Unitarian pastor and the sanctuary was only large enough to fit 1/2 of our 400+ guests anyways.

Here are me and the girls, basking in 90 degree (yes you read that right!) sunshine.

I forgot how beautiful the Pacific Ocean is.

Old Bread of Life Church crowd. Many of us spent some good times together, during and post-undergrad.

On warmer days, you can see surfers off the shore. Why wouldn't one want to move back to a place like this?

Mmmm, La Salsa. I heart any establishment that allows me to have unlimited access to salsa.

Chillin' in between the festivities, talking about everything and nothing.

This week marks the beginning of my final month of school, at least for this year. After the week I had prior to this trip, I feel like I'm over the hump but somehow I still have 3 papers, 3 presentation, and 3 finals ahead of me.
Sigh.
