I have spent the entire evening trying to clean chewing gum that is stuck to my new coach leather purse and wallet. How did it get there? Because half of my brain was not working this afternoon and I disposed of my gum inside my purse in a way that caused me to ruin hundreds of dollars of leather goods.

I have been trying every sort of solution the internet is throwing at me - vegetable oil, suds from dish soap, peanut butter... If only I went straight to what actually works: scotch tape!!! Slowly but surely, each subsequent piece of scotch tape took off a bit more of the gum until it was no longer there. Unfortunately, the vegetable oil was less successful and ended up leaving a stain. ARGH!

This is a lesson from God about materialism.
