I mentioned on Facebook today that I am looking for something to do during this Christmas season, since DJ is busy studying, the baby hasn't yet arrived, my parents and sister are on the other side of the country, and most of our friends are out of town or busy taking care of and hosting family. For the first time in a while, I feel distinctly alone during a time when that is last thing one wants to feel.
And then I read this blog
post from The Gospel Coalition and am reminded of how not-alone I am. How earth-shattering and transformational December 25th really was to me, and to this world, even though many don't believe it or acknowledge it.
The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness
a light has dawned. (Isaiah 9:2)
