A good friend heard this from his seminary professor, John Hannah: (thanks for sharing!)

"Every good and pleasant thing that happens to me in life is a shadow of Heaven which I will one day experience for all of eternity. And every painful and difficult event in life is simply a shadow of the Hell which I will never experience because I have been redeemed by Christ. The worst Hell I'll ever know is the pain of life here on earth and nothing beyond that."

As comfortable as we are with our lives here on earth, with all the doubts and triumphs and shadows and milestones and all the things we think we can't let go and all the things we wish we could live without, how much better will it be in heaven? Incomprehensible.
