I knew it, I knew it. It's being reported today that radio stations were paid cash to play J-Lo's songs on air. I have been wondering how it is that american DJs and the teeny bopper KIIS-FM radio listening public have allowed this kind of trash to be played on airwaves, and now I know! We're not completely tasteless and uncreative, just brainwashed.

This is a fairly big deal because Eliot Spitzer (NY State Attorney and the guy responsible for a whole bunch of good-doing) is investigating. Jessica Simpson is also involved in this whole thing, which just proves my point even more.

If you want to hear something from people who are big and deserve it, try Gwen Stefani/No Doubt. Their Greatest Hits album and her new solo release show that amidst the white noise of american pop music, some artists can still be fresh and inventive. I finally bought "Running" and "Cool" off iTunes, and LOVE it!

Speaking of iTunes, I also just bought three songs titled "Los Angeles" and I'm playing them on repeat, along with Beth Hart's "The L.A. song". (sigh) I miss home.

J Lo sucks but there's nothing wrong with Jessica. "These boots" is a bad song and quite racy, but "With you" is totally quality.
