It's been exactly a week since I developed a fever at the BJ concert. The fever turned into a sore throat over the weekend which turned into voice loss on Tuesday and has now turned into bronchitis or something which I am really hoping is not the Revenge of SARS.

This is the first time I've lost my voice completely and I must say it's quite crippling. For example, tomorrow there is an important meeting at the office of a certain chief executive of this state to discuss a knock-out fundraising proposal written by yours truly. However, because it sounds like someone is choking me everytime I talk, instead of fully participating in the meeting I have to sit in the corner and pretend nobody notices me until they realize in the course of the discussion that there are questions only the writer of the proposal can answer. It's already difficult for me to say intelligent-sounding things when I actually have a voice, so we'll see how this goes.

I'm so tired of having to resist the urge to cough every single second, tired of waking myself up in between the times DJ's snoring wakes me up, tired of hocking big loogies...

heeeelp.

Are you drinking lots of hot tea? Preferably Sleepytime with some honey...
I really hope you'll recover soon. I'm glad that your link to loogies did not involve any pix. With such fear, I don't know why I actually clicked on it. I suppose it's like an impulse to smell something that another has already pronouned as foul. Anyways, I really hope your lungs will clear up soon.
I hope everything goes well at tomorrow's meeting.
HUGS!!!
