The Vatican Museum, Rome, August 2002
This was taken during one of the most fun vacations I've ever had. Three girls traipsing through Europe, using feminine charms to bargain at outdoor markets; nearly getting kicked out of The Accademia for taking pictures of The David; hitting up the mega sales at Benetton and Sisley; eating poor man's food at dusk at Trevi fountain with a million other Americans; sleeping in a horrid overnight train car with a loud snoring man (you know how I feel about loud snoring men); and many other memories. I've been looking at past vacation pictures to get hyped up for my next one, which is coming up very soon!
We have good friends who rave about Puerto Rico's bioluminescent bays and rainforests, so we decided to check it out for ourselves. That and the fact that DJ's captors decided to let him out of the hospital-cage for a week AND the flights were super cheap AND our favorite credit card rewards program is putting us up at a first-rate hotel for only 28,000 points. (Thank you, over-priced wedding and over-priced dental school/oral surgery tuition fees.) Not that I have anything to complain about this winter, but it would be nice to leave my down jacket at home and allow my body to produce some of its own Vitamin D.
