The Parental Units

...are here again! YAY!

This is a COOK-AS-MUCH-FOOD-AS-POSSIBLE-FOR-THE-POOR-CHILDREN trip. I came home from work today and found six home-cooked dishes, half of which have been stored in the freezer or on the balcony for when we wake up from our winter hibernation.

My parents are here for four days and on their itinerary: our house, the T station (to drop me off at work in the morning), the chinese supermarket, and their hotel room.

And they've each brought a laptop to do work - because they've very busy jet-setters.

haahaahaahaa... I can imagine mom being on the phone with her highly fashionable ear bud whilst slowcooking something on the kitchen counter and boiling something on the stove.

Wow. Do people seriously put store food on the balcony because it's practically a freezer? Or were you joking about that?

Strangely enough, we're getting even warmer weather in Dallas than SoCal is getting. Mid-60's, Low-70's. Perhaps God decided not to flip the "Winter" switch on this year. Err... at least not Dallas' switch. I see now that He definitely flipped the switch for Boston.

We do actually put stuff outside overnight when the freezer is too full. But it's not like Antarctica, so I probably wouldn't do it for long periods. :)

I love it that your parents are cooking for you, filling up your freezer. That's the best. I think you probably score extra points because you're sick!! I'm glad your parents are there to visit you :) Can't wait to see you two again!
