Times Square

My room at Ian Schrager's Paramount Hotel

These were from a NY trip a couple of years ago. I'm just showing them to make myself feel better. I was SUPPOSED to be in a New York State of Mind all weekend but didn't quite make it on the Fungwah Bus because of some cold/respiratory yuckiness that DJ probably gave me because he decided not to shower after work one day.

So I literally haven't seen the light of day (except through the slits in our vertical blinds) in 3 days. My mom once told me that getting sick is God's way of making you rest. Unfortunately, resting in this house always seems to come hand in hand with watching TV. You know how they say the love of money is the root of all evil? The love of television has to be the root of all laziness. "But I'm sick" is always the best justification for remaining stationary on the couch for days at at time. Did you know that Footloose was the Grease of the '80s (Thank you, TBS!) and that Jenna Jameson is the queen of the porn industry and thinks she's going to heaven because she's a good person? (Thank you, E True Hollywood Story!) Watch, all these pervs are going to visit my blog (which always has surprisingly good search engine placement) because I mentioned Jenna Jameson.

I think it's time for my quarantine to be over because a) I have no more sick days and b) I am so bored, I'm about to pop in season 6b of Sex and the City for the millionth+1 time, and c) my parents are coming to town and I have to act like the civilized person they raised me to be.

so funny! =) Hope you feel better soon! When I was pregnant and stuck at home I watched enough TV for an entire lifetime. I saw every single episode of The Nanny, Star Trek TNG and DSN (yeah, I KNOW...), and way too many Food Network shows. =)

I hope you're feeling better and that this snow didn't affect your parents' flight. Hope the next few days with mom and dad will be restful and yummi-licious! We miss you, girl!
