Old, balding, and married to a 20-something. But anyone who can sell out 50K+ tickets; play piano with his butt; and get an arena full of people to sway while singing "Piano Man" is fine by me.
The tickets were a gift from DJ who promptly fell asleep at the 3rd song. At least he wasn't snoring like he is now. I seriously need to get an audio recorder and share with all of you the phenomenon I experience every night. (But not tonight! Someone is congested again AND chose not to take a shower to wash off all the hospital dirt which means COUCH EXILE. Really, it's not as cruel as it sounds.)
"Some folks like to get away
Take a holiday from the neighborhood
Hop a flight to Miami Beach
Or to Hollywood
But I'm taking a Greyhound
On the Hudson River Line
I'm in a New York state of mind"
What a musical genius. Perfect way to kick off my NYC weekend. Pictures to come!

Hey, Billy Joel, eh? Sounds like fun...Good concert? Anyway, just happened by your blog, just wanted to say hello.
you went!!! i'm sure it was a blast. have a great time in new york and take lots of pictures!
Billy Joel! Cool one of my favorite music artists growing up. My favorite B. Joel story was that his very first album (Cold Spring Harbor) was recorded at the wrong speed and he sounded like a chipmunk. Of course it was rereleased (corrected of course) after he hit it big... but original copies of the album are worth ALOT!
BJ is one of my favorite artists of all time too. His concert was the day Wilson Pickett died, and he did a really great rendition of "In the Midnight Hour." That song may be too old even for you, Dave! ha ha
"Piano Man" is such a great song. I NEVER get tired of listening to (or singing along to) it.
I used to be able to hear DJ's snoring from my room through the walls. I got used to it though....it wasn't too bad.
