I suffer from self-inflicted insomnia. Usually happens when I have an overwhelming urge to download more Hi-Five songs or backup my precious photo files or escape from my husband's snoring. In this case my computer shutting itself off during an iTunes download provoked a small freak-out that resulted in my backing up an entire year's worth of photos. God forbid I lose all the hard work I've put in, collecting blog material for you fine folk.

I don't think Paris Hilton can sing, nor do I appreciate the way she's contributed to the degradation of American pop culture and yet I want to download her new song. Hmm...

And how sad is the state of Christian music when "Buttefly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle is one of the top ten most downloaded inspirational songs? Released in 1997. Last time I checked that was a long time ago. For all of you old people (both the truly old and the self-perceived old), I was only a freshman.

Here is a small sampling of what I did in L.A. this past weekend More photos to come...

Sam and me comparing the lengths of our hair. His is natural; I had to pay $90 for mine! At one point Grace (his sister) mistook him for me because of the long hair. Don't know if I should take that as a compliment or insult. I know Sam is reading this since he's a blalker (there, I've outed you) but know that this mention of your hair is in no way an endorsement of its current situation.

Sounds like the laptop is working fine now. No more looking sideways?
