My sister just left yesterday and Maisie is coming tomorrow. Yippeeeee. Between playing and the beautiful weather, not much GMAT studying is going on. I keep telling myself that once that countdown up in the RH corner dips below 100 days, I'll start to worry. Now you can see why I'm not more successful in life.
Last night DJ, Roz and David (her BF - someone you may hear me speak more of!) went to see the fireworks over the Charles River. Seeing as Boston is the birthplace of our nation, it's only fitting that these were the *best* fireworks I have ever seen. At one point I had to fight the urge to hold up my umbrella so the flames wouldn't fall on me. WOW. Afterwards we walked in a mass exodus down the middle of Storrow Drive (very busy highway-ish road), thorugh Kenmore Square, and all the way back to Coolidge Corner. I think we've been successfully cured of having "car legs"!
Summer here is so beautiful. I walk 1-2 miles quite a few times a week for no particular reason. I guess the bitter cold serves to ensure that we never take good weather for granted.

Wow, you walked all the way home!?! We thought about it briefly, but we had so much stuff with us from our day long excursion that we had to take the T. We were amazed though that we got onto a red line train within 15 minutes and were home by midnight. It was a crazy mess of people trying to get onto the T at Charles/MGH. It was great to see the fireworks in person for the first time this year. Glad you got to enjoy it, too!
She has a boyfriend now? What happened to me getting to date her? I didn't even get my chance!
Also, know anyone that wants to buy a PowerBook from me? It's got lots of goodies, including an iSight. Yes, I am spamming your blog.
omg, you walked from the esplanade to coolidge corner?!!!! i am thoroughly impressed.
the fireworks are pretty good here. i think the fact that it's so close to you makes it so much better. i saw the macy's fireworks on the banks of hudson in nyc once. it was great, but i think boston experience may have been better. :) so glad that you guys got to enjoy it~
Gosh, I can't even imagine walking a mile...oh, how I love LA even though I feel totally pathetic right now. The farthest I walk is 10 blocks down to 3rd street and back. Like once a month. Is that close to a mile? Maybe??? But I've got the baby in the bjorn, does that give me extra points?
I so want to see Boston someday. Soon. It sounds (and looks from your pictures) so beautiful. And I like history so yay for significant old stuff!
i have to agree with you, the fireworks show at wilson park pales in comparison to the boston show. that was AWESOME. and i'm so glad to have spent the time with you. :)
