I've had a miserable few days. DJ is working, I have a cough that won't let me sleep or work, our bathroom ceiling is leaking and falling down, our stove/range is has to be unplugged because the oven remains on even though we turn it off, and our living room heater doesn't work which means we have to pay for a space heater to run around the clock.

But as I'm sitting here, I can hear the wind howling and weather.com tells me that it's 17 degrees below freezing. There are much more dire circumstances than the one I'm in, like the people in the midwest who spend their entire day sitting around a space heater and people everywhere on the streets who spend nights under blankets or sleeping bags or nothing at all, for whom every night feels like 17 degrees below freezing.

It's so simple, to choose to not complain and to be grateful. Why can't I do it more often?

I'm sorry that you've had such a miserable few days.. I hope your cough goes away and you are feeling better soon. We feel your pain on the apartment issues, not currently but from when we had the mold.. Best of luck.
