So it's official. I join the business school rat race this fall at BU. My main pursuit while at BU is to make my puppy the real life mascot of the Boston University Terriers. Secondarily I hope to learn something about nonprofit management and all that other good stuff like finance and marketing.

For some reason it was really difficult for me to send in my declaration of intent. It wasn't the $1K deposit (although that was really difficult too). This is the first time I'm going to school on my own volition. This is the first time I'm going to school on my own dime. Many dimes, for that matter. This is also the first time I'm giving up a situation (job) that I love, not knowing whether or not the next two years will provide returns for many years to come.

But I am excited nonetheless. BU isn't Harvard and I'm not a genius. But I really look forward to sharpening my skills andknowledge and meeting lots of cool new people.
